About us

We made these applications with the aim of facilitating the study and understanding of the languages of the world. Science and therefore also the science-phonetic language is not static but dynamic and gradually expanding his knowledge. Linguistic knowledge phonetic is enhanced periodically of new discoveries and new ways of describing reality. Information technology offers the opportunity to realize relatively cheap products to aid the study and learning of languages in the world and allows to make equally economic those updates required by scientific discoveries.

The study and the understanding of human languages starts in the phonetic: the language is first of all emission of sounds and noises of the human voice (phones) and its listening, then there is the written representation of these sounds and noises into symbols to fix them in the time namely phonetic transcription. Each human language has its typical inventory phonetic, it uses only a portion of the phones currently discovered by Science Phonetics and the languages of the same family generally use phonetic inventories quite similar.

How does this work?

The touch screen keyboard is rationally structured grouping on the left the consonants (acoustic noise) and on the right vowels (sounds acoustically) of the human voice. In their turn consonants and vowels (phones), are aligned vertically according to place of articulation in vault oral (bilabial, dental, alveolar etc.) And are horizontally aligned according to the mode of production (plosives, fricatives, nasal etc.) As indicated by labels.

Since the arrangement of phones / characters in the phonetic keyboard reflects the place of articulation in the vault oral (horizontally) and in the mode of production (vertically), the learning and typing are very simple and intuitive.

In practice, the phonetic keyboard IPA allows to transcribe all the phones of human languages with better accuracy and speed than traditional QWERTY keyboards and other in which the characters are positioned at random without logical connection, and where the placing of certain characters requires various key combinations. Acoustic reproduction of the phones also allows to check the accuracy of the transcribed character.

These keyboards use the UNICODE character sets that contain millions of symbols and therefore can represent any phonetic symbol. Each key can enter a symbol in the text box (characters, diacritical, suprasegmental) or can reproduce the relative phone (consonant or vowel) of the human voice. By selecting the written text, you can reproduce a sequence of phones (NO entire words or sentences) as spelling.

These phonetic keyboards are not currently voice translators, they don't reproduce acoustically words and phrases of different languages. The phonetic keyboards are phonetic transcribers and breeders that are used to perform the recognition and the transcription of phones and the pronunciation exercises of individual phones or phones scales, valid for all languages of the world.

The phonetic keyboard can be used successfully in school and university by teachers and students (for preparation and carrying out tasks and linguistic exercises), and in science by researchers and amateurs for the study and preservation of languages and dialects.

The acoustic function of the phonetic keyboard can be used also in speech therapy for the analysis and treatment of phonological disorder present in speech impairment:
